First North Announcement no. 7 2007/ 7th May, 2007

                                                       Copenhagen, 7th May, 2007

Summary: The Danish Working Environment Authority has today approved Aresa's
application for testing of genetically modified Thale cress.

Aresa receives GMO approval.

On March 30th 2006 Aresa applied to the Danish Environmental Agency (Skov- og
Naturstyrelsen) for release of genetically modified Thale cress. The Thale cress
plant is to be used for detection of explosives in soil, e.g. landmines. The
Environmental Agency and The Danish Working Environment Authority has evaluated
and approved Aresa's GMO application in accordance with the ministry's executive
order No. 642 of 28th june 2001 concerning gene-technology and working
environment.

The testing will take place at an enclosed test site in Jægerspris, Denmark and
will be initiated within the coming weeks and will continue throughout the
growing season 2007. In order to obtain most possible test data, Aresa will test
several genetic variations combined with various eco-types of Thale cress
(Arabidopsis thaliana).

“This approval is another significant milestone in Aresas continued development
of the landmine detecting plant RedDetect™ and is another step towards our aim
of becoming a sustainable Plant Biotechnological company over the coming years”
states CEO Jarne Elleholm.
