In southern BC they've added adjoining ground to their Crowrea molybdenum project in advance of the summer work program there. In 2005 they identified a dyke on the property that returned drill intersections grading up to 0.292% Mo over 10.6 metres and has a potential strike length of more than 1100 metres. Goldrea has also now earned its 75% interest in leases surrounding the Daye gold mine in Shandong province of eastern China, and its agreement to purchase the mine itself is awaiting approval from the central government. Acero-Martin Exploration Inc. (TSX-V:ASD) is fast tracking production from the high-grade gold zone of their Pinaya property in southern Peru, while continuing to drill and expand the larger copper-rich zones. Drilling in 2006 included hole PDH-39 which returned a stunning 83.9 meters of 2.1 g/t gold and 1.11% copper, starting near the surface. This year, hole PDH-98 identified 60.2 metres of 2.81 g/t gold. An initial resource estimate generated last fall calculated 666,000 ounces of gold in both indicated and inferred categories, along with nearly 400 million pounds of copper. Environmental and social-economic studies are already underway, and a Preliminary Economic Assessment Study (Scoping Study) is expected to begin by mid-2007, with production anticipated by Q4 2008. Proceeds from the initial mining will help advance the rest of the property.
