DENVER, May 8, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Centennial Bank Holdings (Nasdaq:CBHI) announced today that its Board of Directors authorized a new stock repurchase program. Under the new program, the company is authorized to repurchase up to 2,000,000 shares of the company's common stock over the next 12 months. The shares will be acquired from time to time either in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions in accordance with applicable regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company has 715,500 shares remaining under its previously authorized stock repurchase program. As of May 8, 2007, the company had 55,129,318 shares outstanding, including 1,729,925 shares of unvested stock awards.
