On May 14th OMX Nordic Exchange will launch derivatives on Icelandic stocks and
indexes. The same day, OMX will launch a stock lending facility on the 15
shares included in OMXI15.

The following products will be on offer:

• Stock Futures: Futures on Glitnir (GLB), Kaupthing (KAUP) and Landsbanki
(LAIS)
• Stock options: Options on Glitnir (GLB), Kaupthing (KAUP) and Landsbanki
(LAIS)
• Futures on the OMXI15 index
• Forwards on the Icelandic CPI index (ICECPI)
• Tailor made derivatives on listed Icelandic stocks and OMXI15

The Icelandic derivatives will be available to members at the exchanges that
participate in the linked exchanges and clearing (LEC) concept. In addition to
current OMX derivatives members, it is expected that five Icelandic members
will start trading at launch date.

Thordur Fridjonsson President and CEO of OMX Nordic Exchange in Iceland:
“Icelandic derivatives are an important addition to the product range available
to investors in the Icelandic market. It is also a timely addition considering
the great growth in trading volumes in the cash market and an ever increasing
interest of foreign investors. Trading in Icelandic derivatives and the
establishment of a stock lending facility will, without any doubt, further
strengthen the Icelandic stock market as a whole”.

Henrik Paulsson President of OMX Derivatives Markets: “OMX Derivatives Markets
are enthusiastic about the addition of Icelandic instruments to its product
range, which currently consists of Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and
Russian derivatives. We believe it is important to be able to offer the Nordic
and London markets access to Icelandic products and at the same time offer
Icelandic market participants access to the whole Nordic Exchange derivatives
market.”
