Central Connecticut's Business and Community Leaders Go One-on-One With Coach Geno Auriemma At Connecticut Bank & Trust Grand Opening

HARTFORD, Conn., May 9, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Connecticut Bank and Trust Company (Nasdaq:CTBC), central Connecticut's community bank offering personalized services for business and consumer needs, hosted a grand opening of its Windsor location at 148 Broad Street on Tuesday, May 8. Business owners from around central Connecticut gathered to meet the CBT spokesperson coach Geno Auriemma, and learn more about CBT.

In 2002, a group of bankers with a commitment to the people of Connecticut decided to open a bank that would offer the kind of legendary customer service that small business owners deserve. Since then, Connecticut Bank and Trust has earned recognition as the leading business bank in Connecticut, providing their customers with focused, personal attention that keeps them coming back for life.

Karen Roy, owner of Stowe Kitchen & Bath in South Windsor and a CBT customer, said, "The loan officers at CBT go out of their way to help me when I need them, as do the branch managers. I love that when I call, I don't get a voicemail. I actually get a person who is interested and willing to assist me with whatever I need. At CBT, I feel like a big fish in a small pond."

The evening of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres provided business owners and guests the opportunity to mingle with colleagues and speak with CBT representatives. President of CBT David Lentini said, "We are extremely glad that so many local business owners joined us to celebrate the opening of our sixth branch. We're proud to be a part of the Windsor community and we hope that this branch will help make banking with CBT even more convenient for our customers, both new and old."

The evening ended with some brief remarks from Coach Geno Auriemma. "As a coach and an athlete, I know the importance of having a partner you can trust. The people at CBT are truly committed to their promise that banking should revolve around the customer and I'm proud to be a part of the team," said Geno.

The celebration of the new CBT in Windsor continues with daily specials at all locations through May 18th. Customers are invited to stop in to their local branch to check out the new specials each day.
