Viking Systems, Inc. to Launch Its New 3D High Definition Surgical System At the Annual American Urological Association Meeting

Company to Showcase the New High-Definition (HD) Capabilities of the Viking 3D Surgical System At the World's Largest Meeting of Urological Professionals

SAN DIEGO, May 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Viking Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VKSY), a designer, manufacturer and marketer of high-performance laparoscopic vision systems for use in minimally invasive surgical (MIS) procedures, will be launching the new High Definition 3D Vision System at the American Urological Association's (AUA) Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California from May 19th to 24th. The AUA is the world's largest meeting of urologic professionals, with more than 10,000 urologists and health care professionals and 5,000 exhibitors in attendance.

Viking's new 3D-HD Vision System offers surgeons the same high-quality 3D vision they have grown to expect with the current 3D system, however the new HD Personal Head Monitors now have 64% more pixels than previous units. This generates a much higher resolution image, providing the surgeon and staff with more critical decision-making information in the operating room. The new LCD screens are now significantly smaller than in the previous version, which has reduced the overall weight of the Personal Head Monitors, increasing the overall ergonomic benefit. The smaller size delivers an improved high-definition image and also allows greater peripheral vision in the operating room.

"By enhancing the Viking 3Di System with HD capabilities, Viking now provides surgeons in the operating room with even more critical information," said Donald Tucker, CEO of Viking Systems. "This high-definition platform takes our technology to the next level, increasing quality and clarity, while also allowing for a smaller, lighter and more ergonomic personal vision device for the surgeon."

Viking Systems, Inc. will be located at booth No. 560 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The Company will showcase the new 3D-HD system and they invite all interested parties to come by and experience 3D-HD in person.
