Continuing expansion into Central and Eastern Europe, Baltika plans to enter one or two new markets this year. Accordingly, Baltika registered its 100% subsidiary, Baltika Retail Czech Republic s.r.o., in Czech Republic on May 7, 2007. This week, Baltika also signed a contract for opening its first store in Prague, the capital of Czech Republic. Baltika will open a Monton store in the Palladium shopping mall which is a new multi-purpose commercial development located in the city centre. The store is scheduled to be opened in the second half of the year. At present, the Baltika Group operates four retail concepts: Monton, Mosaic, Baltman and Ivo Nikkolo and is represented in six countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia and Poland.
