- Merger of Hf. Eimskipafélags Íslands and Eimskipafélagi Íslands finalised

The merger of Hf. Eimskipafélag Íslands and Eimskipafélag Íslands ehf. has been
finalised with effect from 1 November 2006. Eimskipafélags Íslands' bond which
are listed on the ICEX will be transferred to á Hf. Eimskipafélag Íslands
subsequently. This merger will not have any further affects on the company.
