VuBotics and Oak Ridge National Laboratory Announce Patents Issued for VIPAR Technology

VIPAR for VuIT Extends Database Mining Capabilities

ATLANTA, May 14, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- VuBotics, Inc. (OTCBB:VBTC) and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), today announced that the United States Patent & Trademark Office has issued ORNL a patent (U.S. Patent No. 7072883) for its VIPAR (Virtual Information Process Agent for Research) technology, a database mining technology designed to enable users to gather, process and distill massive amounts of information up to 10 times faster and more thoroughly than can been accomplished unassisted. VuBotics previously entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with ORNL to commercialize its VIPAR technology through its new product, VIPAR for VuIT(tm) Mine.

VIPAR utilizes hundreds of individually deployed intelligent software agents to autonomously gather and organize massive amounts of information, then distills the information into relevant clusters for analysis. Disparate databases connected with the Internet throughout the world can be searched to locate target information without the need for any complex integration systems. VIPAR's intelligent software agents were initially developed to address challenges facing the military and intelligence community, and have been successfully deployed for military use by U.S. Pacific Command and the U.S. Sixth Fleet.

Combined with VuIT Mine, users can direct research remotely or directly through an XML interface. The software integrates itself directly into the native application programs through its dock and presents information through a proprietary graphical user interface designed specifically for the user's industry, role and responsibility.

David Rollo, chief marketing officer at VuBotics, Inc., commented, "The enhancements to our VuIT(tm) product make it a powerful and unparalleled tool for sifting through huge amounts of data in a way that saves time and money. The newly-issued patent protection combined with our exclusive rights for commercialization place VuBotics in an enviable position of leadership with this ground-breaking technology. We look forward to expanding its use beyond its current military deployment into the business segment of the economy and we plan to aggressively pursue this market."

Key features include:

  * User specific intelligent agent deployment
  *  Shared ontological database
  *  Real time data collection
  * Relational search for best practices
  *  Dynamic dock construction
  *  Customizable graphical user interface
