Wall Street Journal Reprises Creative Leaders Series Featuring Prominent Advertising Industry Figures

NEW YORK, May 14, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Wall Street Journal today announced that it is reprising its critically acclaimed Creative Leaders Series that will feature prominent figures from the advertising community beginning on May 14. The campaign will primarily run in media trades and Dow Jones publications.

The original campaign first launched in 1975 and ran through 1997, showcasing more than 95 creative leaders who are recognized leaders in their industry.

In addition, the campaign will feature three new creative leaders and support how business and the Journal play an increasing role in their lives during the week and on the weekends. The new leaders include, Alex Bogusky, executive creative director for Crispin Porter +Bogusky, Laura Desmond, chief executive officer of Starcom MediaVest Group, The Americas and Lars Bastholm, executive creative director of AKQA.

"All six days of The Wall Street Journal are instrumental among industry leaders who understand that work doesn't stop on the weekends and neither does the Journal," said David Wachtel, vice president of marketing and business development for The Wall Street Journal. "The demand of business and the need for information is more pivotal than ever before and the six days of the Journal provide executives counsel in the board room, at the office and at home."

A breakfast will be held on July 17 at the Museum of Modern Art to bring together past and present creative leaders that have been a part of the Journal campaign through the years. The Journal will also name a fourth executive from a pool of individuals nominated by the ad community as the final creative leader to be included in the campaign. The individual will be chosen by a jury of past creative leaders and will be the final person profiled in the campaign.
