Based on the interim data, SAMPO bankas AB earned LTL 6.95 million (EUR 2.013 million) within the first quarter of 2007 (as non-audited net profit) - two times more than in the same period last year, when yhe profit was LTL 3.34 million (EUR 0.967 million). This profit has been calculated in compliance with respective legal enactments by the Bank of Lithuania and Republic of Lithuania. By the end of the first quarter, the assets of the SAMPO bankas AB increased by 40.9 % and reached up to LTL 4.55 billion (EUR 1.318 billion) (at the end of March 2006 - LTL 3.22 billion (EUR 0.933 billion)). Consolidated assets at the end of March 2007 was LTL 4.89 billion (EUR 1.416 billion) -or 42.1 % more than in the same period last year.
