WOBURN, Mass., May 17, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- LogMeIn, Inc., the leader in remote connectivity and support services with nearly 20 million users, announced today that Kenneth D. Cron has joined the company's board of directors.
Cron has held key leadership roles in businesses that have been instrumental in transforming the contemporary technology, media and entertainment markets. His involvement steering both public and private companies to success includes overseeing and growing stable organizations into global enterprises, revitalizing large companies, and launching start-ups with eventual public offerings.

As interim Chief Executive Officer of Computer Associates International Inc., Cron was instrumental in stabilizing the company following a challenging period. Prior to Computer Associates, Cron was Chairman and CEO of Vivendi Universal Games, Inc., a global leader in the publishing of online, PC and console-based interactive entertainment. Cron joined Vivendi following the acquisition of Uproar Inc., and together with Simon built Uproar into one of the 20 most popular websites in the world and led the company through a billion dollar NASDAQ public offering. Cron currently serves as non-executive Chairman of Midway Games, a NYSE company and leading producer of entertainment and sports titles for the home video game market.

Before forming Uproar, Cron spent nearly two decades at CMP Media where under his leadership the company grew from an information technology trade publishing company into a global, publicly traded media multinational. As CMP's President, Publishing, Cron was responsible for the company's U.S. business, and he spearheaded its entry into online activity before the internet became core to the media industry. With the executive team, Cron took CMP public with a NASDAQ offering co-managed by Goldman Sachs & Co. and Lazard Freres. Cron later engineered the sale of CMP for $920 million to Miller Freeman, Inc., part of the $4 billion UK-based United Business Media.
