Collectors Respond Strongly to Return of Bev Doolittle to Limited Edition Art World with Beyond Negotiations, Her First New Painting in Eight Years

Artist and finished painting can be seen on YouTube

SEYMOUR, Conn., May 17, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Greenwich Workshop(r) today announced that it has sold out its 350-unit MuseumEdition of Bev Doolittle's new Beyond Negotiations canvas in its original 72" x 26" size and has received substantial orders for its 3,750-unit MasterworkEdition, sized at 44" x 16." Both editions will be personally signed by the artist and are priced at $2950 US / $3500 CDN and $795 US / $950 CDN, respectively.

Beyond Negotiations, a painting of charging Crow Indians coming straight at the viewer and even crashing through the long horizontal border, represents Bev Doolittle's first-ever limited edition release on canvas (fine art giclee) and her first new full color limited edition release since The Earth is My Mother in 1999. The finished work and the artist's discussion of it can be seen on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48_aI4Ne-gg). Bev will present her work in approximately 16 gallery shows in over 9 states and Canada between June and October. Widely considered to be one of the best-selling artists in print, Doolittle's strong appeal is in her ability to connect with a wide swath of fine art collectors. Sacred Ground, Doolittle's stunningly successful limited edition print, moved the fine art limited reproductions market by $25-30 million in 1989, the year it was published, and established a new industry-high watermark. The secondary market for her work is strong as well -- her now iconic limited edition print Pintos, which The Greenwich Workshop sold for $65 in 1979, today sells for $12,000-$15,000.

The Greenwich Workshop, Inc. is Bev Doolittle's exclusive publisher.
