Stockton Scavenger Employees Approve New Contract


STOCKTON, Calif., May 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Stockton Scavenger Association, a Waste Management company, and Teamsters Local 439 have agreed upon a new labor contract that the employees ratified recently. The new contract covers 74 drivers, mechanics, and bin shop personnel who provide solid waste collection, recycling, and processing services for the City of Stockton.

"This contract recognizes the unique needs of our employees, their families and our customers, and is both fair and balanced.
