Also new are two backlight controllers for notebook computers, the LX1693(tm) and LX1697(tm), which are optimized for wide input voltages, system component reduction and efficient battery operation. The LX1693 controller also features circuitry that provides an easy way for backlight designers to incorporate automatic brightness control using Microsemi visible light sensors.
