TASER International Announces Three Significant Domestic Orders and One Large Export Order

Washington State Patrol, Tallahassee and Scottsdale Police Departments Purchase TASER Technology

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 24, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- TASER International, Inc. (Nasdaq:TASR), a market leader in advanced electronic control devices, today announced the receipt of four substantial orders. Three orders were received from domestic law enforcement agencies, including the Washington State Patrol for 500 TASER(r) X26 Electronic Control Devices (ECDs) and related accessories; Tallahassee Police Department for 271 TASER X26 ECDs and related accessories; and Scottsdale Police Department for 125 TASER X26 units and related accessories. TASER International also received an export purchase order from an international law enforcement agency establishing a new TASER program with an order totaling over $1,425,000 for TASER X26 ECDs and related accessories.

"The TASER devices are an option that avoids troopers having to go 'hands-on' with combative subjects," said Chief John R. Batiste of the Washington State Patrol. "We can engage from a safe distance, ultimately reducing injuries to both troopers and suspects."

"These orders represent the continuation of large deployments of our TASER technology," said Tom Smith, Chairman and Co-Founder of TASER International. "We are excited to see the TASER X26 deployed at the street level where our technology can truly make an impact in these communities by reducing injuries and protecting lives. We are also pleased another country in the international community has embraced the value of TASER technology and has expanded their program to an active duty deployment following a field test that began last year," concluded Smith.

The three domestic orders together totaled 946 TASER X26 Electronic Control Devices (ECDs) and all four orders are expected to ship in the second quarter of 2007.
