Xlibris Releases Behind the Polygamy Veil -- New Book Tells a Suspenseful Story About a Strange Kidnapping

SALT LAKE CITY, May 28, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Polygamy is defined as a form of marriage in which a person has more than one spouse. It is a union that has been condemned by certain historical figures and to this day, many believe that it does not deserve a place in American society. This controversial topic is the central part of a suspenseful story imagined by author Kenneth Brown. Prepare yourself as Xlibris releases his new fictional book Behind The Polygamy Veil.

The story begins when a young lady is kidnapped attracting the attention of the local authorities as well as private investigator Greg. The police believe she is a runaway but Greg's own investigation suggests that something strange is going on. Soon he begins a three-month journey with his faithful dog on an odyssey chasing a strange Fundamentalist Mormon sect. In his pursuit to find the victim, Greg learns as much about strange human behavior as he does about where she is. He recalls an old speech given by Abraham Lincoln, when he said, "Slavery and polygamy are barbaric, and both should be eliminated from a modern society." Will the investigator be able to find the missing lady before time runs out or is it all too late? Read the book to find out.

Filled with twists and intricate details about the Mormons and polygamy, Behind The Polygamy Veil will give readers not only an entertaining ride but also give them unique insight on modern-day polygamy. Aside from that, the story highlights an interesting clash of cultures, norms and religious beliefs, which could bring out a wave of debates about people and society.
