HAMILTON, Bermuda, May 30, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Golar LNG announces that, further to the decision to terminate the Company's equity swap as reported in the fourth quarter results announcement, Golar has acquired 1,241,300 Golar LNG shares from Bank of Nova Scotia at a cost of $22.8 million. The swap has also been terminated and Golar will receive approximately $7.5 million as a result.
The net cost to Golar of the shares acquired after taking account of the gain is therefore $15.3 million or $12.3 per share.
