Delta, Official Airline of 2007 U.S. PRIDE Festivals, is Proud to Support Diversity

Airline sponsors summer events in Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, New York City, Orlando, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco that matter to customers, employees

ATLANTA, May 30, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) is proud to continue its support of diversity as the official airline sponsor for six national PRIDE Festivals in several cities throughout the United States this summer. From Habitat for Humanity to carbon offset programs, Delta continues its commitment to support community events and organizations that matter to its diverse customers and employees, including those dedicated to the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender (GLBT) community.

Delta will sponsor and participate in PRIDE Festivals in Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, New York City, Salt Lake City and San Francisco, as well as Gay Days in Orlando, Fla., May 29 - June 4.

"Delta embraces its position as a global corporation -- from the places we fly to the community events and organizations we support that reflect the diverse interests of our customers and Delta people," said Cherie Caldwell, Delta's director of Global Diversity. "Delta's sponsorship of PRIDE and Gay Days is one example in which Delta Employee Networks involve themselves annually."

A PRIDE Festival sponsor since 2003, Delta's continued support proves its commitment to service diversity that extends well beyond airports and aircraft. Delta is working closely with long-time partner The Coca-Cola Company, also an Atlanta PRIDE Festival sponsor, to develop a co-branded float for inclusion in the PRIDE Parade. Additionally, Delta designed the campaign message, "Be the Jetsetter You've Always Claimed to Be," expressly for all six PRIDE events. The campaign message will be included in various festival programs.

Delta will sponsor the following PRIDE Festivals:

 * Salt Lake City, June 2-3
 * Boston, June 9
 * Cincinnati, June 9-10
 * Atlanta and San Francisco, June 22-24
 * New York, June 22-25

The PRIDE Festivals are among several diversity and inclusion events in which Delta Employee Network Groups participate on behalf of Delta. Later this summer, Delta will launch a Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) site on delta.com that links customers to high-interest GLBT travel markets and includes links to any event in a Delta city. Delta also supports Hispanic Heritage Month, Georgia Hispanic Chamber Gala, National Association of Chinese Americans, National Black Arts Festival, Women in Aviation International Convention, Black History Month Celebration, Atlanta Executive Network and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Convention.
