SAN ANTONIO, May 30, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- BudCo Limited, the local distributor of Anheuser-Busch and Modelo products, today announced that Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P. has signed a letter of intent to purchase all assets of BudCo Ltd. BudCo Ltd. is the Anheuser-Busch and Grupo Modelo sales, marketing and distribution company for 13 counties in South Texas. With corporate offices in San Antonio, BudCo operates depots in Del Rio and in Carrizo Springs.
BudCo Ltd. is currently owned by brothers, Berkley and Vincent Dawson, second generation Anheuser-Busch distributors. The Dawson family began their association with Anheuser-Busch in 1955 in Amarillo, Texas. They sold the Amarillo territory and moved to San Antonio in 1990.

Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P., one of the nation's largest Anheuser-Busch and Modelo distributors, operates four branches in the greater Houston area -- a facility located near downtown Houston and facilities in Rosenberg, Cypress and Conroe. Majority owners of Silver Eagle Distributors are John and Bobbie Nau and chief operating officer, Robert Boblitt, also has an ownership interest in the company.
