First North Announcement no. 9 2007/ 1st June, 2007

                                                      Copenhagen, 1st June, 2007

Resume: The plant biotech company Aresa enters into a research collaboration
with the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, NS Seme in Serbia, with the
establishment of a 3,000m² test area in Novi Sad.

Aresa commence test programme in Serbia

As part of the continued development of the landmine detecting plant,
RedDetect™, Aresa has today entered into a collaboration with the Institute of
Field and Vegetable Crops, NS Seme in Novi Sad, Serbia. The collaboration
includes the establishment of a 3,000m test area at the Institute's test fields
in the outskirts of Novi Sad. The area is characteristic for conditions in South
East Europe (Balkans) including many minefields.

The test area in Novi Sad gives Aresa the opportunity to further develop and
test the landmine plant under growth conditions corresponding to those often
found in minefields in South East Europe. The agreement is therefore a valuable
addition to Aresa's test sites in Denmark and Croatia.

The planned test programme will commence in August and will include the sowing
of different variations of genetically modified thale cress. Serbia has an
existing GMO legislation similar to that in the EU and Aresa will in the coming
week submit an full GMO application. Aresa will, as part of the planned
development programme, perform several tests during the growing season 2007, and
the results are expected to be published towards the latter part of the year.

The collaboration with the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, NS Seme in
Novi Sad, one of the leading plant research institutions in South East Europe,
has been established on the basis of a common wish to develop and utilise gene
technology for the value creation in both South East Europe and in other
countries.

Best regards,
