RAISIO'S FOOD POTATO BUSINESS TRANSFERRED TO PROFOOD                            

Raisio plc has sold its food potato business in Vihanti to Profood Oy. The      
transaction has been completed and the business transferred to a new owner in   
the beginning of June 2007.                                                     

The sale of the food potato business is one step in streamlining and clarifying 
Raisio's business operations.
