HERNDON, Va., June 6, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Timothy J. Hannigan, vice president of business development for the company's Technical Services sector.

In this position, Hannigan has executive responsibility for the sector's new business development and capture process, while representing the sector on the Corporate Business Council. Additionally, he will oversee and coordinate the marketing communications effort to strategically position Northrop Grumman in both domestic and international markets.

Hannigan joins Northrop Grumman from DynCorp International, where he was vice president, operations, government services and vice president of strategic initiatives, international technical services. He also served in multiple key leadership positions with Raytheon Technical Services Company including vice president of strategic pursuits; director of program execution, logistics and training systems; and director of business development, infrastructure services.

Prior to entering the defense industry, Tim had a distinguished career in the United States Marine Corps, including commanding an infantry battalion during Operation Desert Storm.

Tim earned a bachelor's degree in government from Dartmouth College and a master's degree in international affairs from Catholic University of America.
