Stock Exchange Release June 6, 2007 BasWare Board of Directors has resolved to incorporate the Financial Management business unit. The new company will be lead by Managing Director Juha Heiskanen and Senior Vice President Laura Rantanen In 2006, the new company's share of BasWare Corporation's net sales was approximately 13 percent. BasWare CEO Ilkka Sihvo states that the incorporation aims at providing better conditions for the growth and internationalization of Financial Management. The new management model also offers more flexibility to realize a strategy that takes into account the special characteristics of the growing business field of financial management. ”The new affiliate will focus on providing tools for business planning, reporting, analyzing and consolidating whereas the parent company BasWare Corp. invests fully in the Enterprise Purchase to Pay solutions,” says Ilkka Sihvo, CEO, BasWare Corporation. The new company develops and provides off the shelf software solutions as well as consulting services for business planning, reporting and group consolidation. The aim is to strengthen the market leadership in Finland and gain significant market share in the countries where the transition to IFRS reporting is about to take place. “The company differentiates in the market with the ready-made and quick to implement solutions which are designed to meet the needs of both IFRS and municipality reporting,” says the new company's Managing Director Juha Heiskanen. “The basic requirement for entering international capital markets is to have a well-organized, reliable financial management function. For example in Russia there are several companies that planning for a public listing. Consequently, we have already initiated operations in Russia through the partner channel,” says the new company's Senior Vice President Laura Rantanen.
