Wall Street Reporter Magazine Hosting 12th 'Small-Cap Discovery Conference' in New York City

NEW YORK, June 7, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Some of the world's most promising young companies in the hot energy and mining sectors are coming to New York City to tell their stories to a crowd of investment professionals at Wall Street Reporter Magazine's 12th Small-Cap Discovery Conference.

The conference will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at the Princeton Club, located at 15 West 43rd Street. In addition to companies presenting their business propositions, more than 200 fund managers, analysts, and investment bankers representing $30 billion in capital are registered to attend. The event will also be Webcast live on www.vcall.com.

Wall Street Reporter's Small-Cap Discovery Conference has developed an unparalleled reputation as the place for the investment community to find fresh insights into the small-cap marketplace and possibly discover the stock success stories of the future.

While several of the companies making presentations are focused on energy and mining, the event also brings together emerging opportunities in a wealth of other sectors, including medical technology, hardware, logistics, and manufacturing. Every one comes to the table with a new approach to a commercial need and a fully-detailed business plan to match.

Presenting companies from the resource sectors will include:

-- Index Oil & Gas (OTCBB:IXOG) is taking a portfolio-based approach to developing an extensive gas-based asset base in both Kansas and the Gulf Coast. Dan Murphy, the company's executive chairman, will explain the company's emphasis on risk management as the key to generating shareholder value while preserving his acreage's "excellent" upside potential. The company's drilling record so far has been "enviable."

-- EuroControl Technics Inc. (TSX-V:EUO) has developed a unique system for authenticating and validating petrochemical molecules, effectively allowing global oil companies to fight illicit fuel trading while protecting their brand identities in the marketplace. CEO Bruce Rowlands will discuss his technology and recent progress towards making it a global standard.

-- Cyprus-based EMED Mining Ltd. (AIM:EMED) has taken a regional strategy toward gold and copper exploration, with projects ranging from Spain to the Caucasus. Harry Anagnostaras-Adams, the company's managing director, will provide insight into the opportunities this ancient mining belt still has to offer, along with an update on his company's latest drilling results.

Additional presenters will be announced.

The Wall Street Reporter Small-Cap Discovery Conference will begin with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and is scheduled to conclude at noon. Investment professionals are invited to attend and can register at www.wallstreetreporter.com/sdc.
