Lindab sculpts strong future in Russia

Lindab Building Systems, a European leader in pre-engineered steel
buildings, has reached a milestone for the construction of its 15,000
square-metre Russian plant in the Yaroslavl region, 300 kilometers
outside Moscow.

To commemorate the start of the construction phase of this important
project, a sculpture was unveiled on June 11th, 2007 at the site of
the future plant in Tutaev.

The ceremony was attended by Luxembourg's Minister of Economy Jeannot
Krecké, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region Anatoly Lisitsyn, Luxembourg
Ambassador (Russia) Carlo Krieger, Minister of the Swedish Embassy
Stefan Gullgren, Chief Federal Inspector in the Yaroslavl region
Alexey Kiselyov, Chairman of the State Duma of the Yaroslavl region
Andrey Krutikov, Head of the Tutaev Municipal District of the
Yaroslavl Region Yan Andreev, Kjell Akesson (CEO Lindab Group), David
Brodetsky (Managing Director, Lindab-Astron), Pavel Korenkov
(Business Unit Manager, Lindab-Astron Russian operations) as well as
many customers and employees."This is one of our most important investments to date," says
Lindab's CEO, Kjell Åkesson. "Russia is a large and expanding market,
where we have great expectations for the development of the
pre-engineered buildings that we produce.""We want to be part of this development phase and believe that we
have a lot to offer, thanks to our long experience from supplying
Eastern European markets," says David Brodetsky, Managing Director of
the Lindab Building Systems Division, headquartered in Luxembourg."The large number of international companies now setting up in Russia
leads to increasing demands on the construction quality, which is
good news for us."

Operations at the Yaroslavl/Tutaev production unit are due to start
in the spring of 2008 and will initially employ approximately 150
people. The production will primarily focus on single storey
buildings (Astron buildings) for the Russian and Ukrainian markets."We are very grateful for the invaluable support that we have
received from the local administration and the Mayor's office who are
committed to this major international investment for the Yaroslavl
region, adds Pavel Korenkov, Lindab-Astron, Russia. "The project is
running to plan and has also received positive support from local
people."

Lindab Building Systems currently has three factories situated in
Luxembourg, the Czech Republic and Hungary, and produces up to 1000
buildings a year.
