Junior League of Orange County Names Stacey Kinney President; Announces New Board of Directors


NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 13, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Junior League of Orange County, California, Inc., (JLOCC), an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and the leadership of trained volunteers, has named Stacey Kinney as its new president and announced the members of its 2007-2008 board of directors.

Additional members of the JLOCC 2007-2008 board of directors are MeeRan Kim Anderson (training director), Liana Augustini (fund development director), Gwen Black (community director), Janet Colclaser (sustainer representative), Carla Dillon (treasurer/finance director), Laura Giles (membership director), Kathryn Grant (communications director), Jennifer Martin (secretary), Kelly Northridge (vice president), Isabelle Ord (projects director), Kristin Scheithauer (board assistant), and Erin Stone (president-elect).

Funds raised annually by the JLOCC are used to benefit charitable projects including the Orange County Bar Assn. Project Foundation, Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center, Casa Teresa Inc., Girls Inc., Bridges to Higher Learning, and Bear Hugs. The organization also awards thousands of dollars in grants and scholarships each year. As a solely educational and charitable organization, the JLOCC's trained volunteers actively support the community through collaboration with organizations that promote and support the health, safety and education of women and children.
