Axis signs license agreement for print server software

Axis announced today an agreement with one of its OEM partners to license Axis'
print server software. The agreement includes a one-time license fee of about 2
MUSD. It will have a positive impact on sales in the Asia region and will be
reported in the Print product area.

There are two subsegments in the Print product area: branded sales of print
products under Axis own brand and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) sales
to print manufacturers.  
This current license agreement is with an OEM partner and means that Axis'
business partner is licensing software for further in-house development of their
offering. The agreement will not affect Axis sales of branded print servers. 

“Sale of the software is a natural development of our Print product area, an
area in which we have reported declining sales in recent years,” says Ray
Mauritsson, President of Axis Communications. “We will continue to market our
branded print server as before, unaffected by the license agreement."
