TAINA KYLLÖNEN TO HEAD RAUTARUUKKI'S NEW MARKETING UNIT

Rautaruukki's transformation into a customer-driven solutions supplier has
meant a strong shift in the focus of operations towards the customer interface:
sales, marketing and other customer work. As part of this development,
Rautaruukki has set up a new Marketing unit, which will be headed by Taina
Kyllönen, 40, MSc (Econ), who has been appointed Senior Vice President,
Marketing as of 1 September 2007. Consequently, she will leave her present
position as Vice President, Corporate Communications and Branding, where she
has been since 2004.

”Everything we do is based on customer needs. By making marketing a
corporate-wide function we aim to further support and speed up our business
growth” emphasises President & CEO Sakari Tamminen.

Taina Kyllönen will be responsible for Ruukki's marketing, including customer
relationship management and development and branding.

”Ruukki aims to be the number one choice as a solutions supplier for existing
and future new customers. One of the key objectives of the marketing function
is to ensure we achieve that aim. This calls for a systematic, planned and
long-term way of building customer relationships,” Taina Kyllönen sums up.

Taina Kyllönen will report to President & CEO Sakari Tamminen and will be a
member of Ruukki's extended management group.
