Canyon Acres Names Tim Bauer Director of Development

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif., June 25, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Canyon Acres Children and Family Services, a charity organization committed to providing homes, care, treatment and supportive services for abused, neglected and emotionally troubled children and their families, today announced Tim Bauer has joined as the agency's new director of development. Bauer brings more than 20 years of experience working with local children and family service organizations.

"Canyon Acres is pleased to have Tim join our team," said Clete Menke, executive director of Canyon Acres. "Not only is Tim a veteran in this field, he is truly dedicated to helping the children Canyon Acres serves."

Bauer holds a Master's degree in psychological counseling with an emphasis in family studies from Chapman University, and for the past eight years has successfully directed multimillion-dollar campaigns. Prior to working in the fundraising arena Bauer served as vice president of programs for a national children's organization, where he developed and managed residential and foster care programs that served over 1,000 children annually -- with program budgets exceeding $20,000,000. Bauer is also actively involved in several local charities, most significantly serving as vice president of member services for the Orange County chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).

"I really can't imagine doing anything else vocationally," said Bauer. "It energizes me to think I can inspire others to help make a difference for these kids, and I look forward to assisting here at Canyon Acres."
