County of L.A. Honors The Gas Company's Top Customer-Service Ranking


MEDIA ADVISORY, June 25, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- At Tuesday's Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting, County Supervisor Gloria Molina will present a resolution to Debra L. Reed, president and chief executive officer of The Gas Company, recognizing the company's recent top national customer-service ranking by J.D. Power.



WHAT:       Southern California Gas Co. (The Gas Company) will be
            honored by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
            The Gas Company ranked highest for customer satisfaction
            among natural gas utilities in the western United States
            and scored highest nationwide in the latest J.D. Power 
            study.

            J.D. Power determined its customer-service rankings by
            interviewing more than 12,000 customers and examining six
            factors:  company image, price and value, communications,
            billing and payment, customer service and field service.
            The Gas Company came out on top among all 56 large
            natural-gas utilities in the study.
