Houston is the Site of AutoZone's 4,000th Store


MEMPHIS, Tenn., June 25, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- AutoZone, Inc. (NYSE:AZO), the nation's largest retailer and a leading distributor of auto parts and accessories, today announced the opening of its 4,000th store. The milestone store is located in Houston, Texas.

AutoZone opened its first store in Forrest City, Arkansas on July 4, 1979. Now, 28 years later, the Company has stores in all 48 contiguous states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
