GoLeft.tv Announces New Commentary and Entertainment Features

PENSACOLA, Fla., June 25, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- For three years, Bobby Kennedy, Mike Papantonio, and David Bender have been interviewing the newsmakers on Ring of Fire, an Air America Radio product. Those interviews have included cultural icons such as Robert Redford, Gore Vidal, Martin Short, Henry Rollins, David Crosby, and just about any other progressive who has recognized the importance of speaking up on behalf of American Democracy. Kennedy, Papantonio, and Bender bring that same caliber of interview dialogue to GoLeft.tv.

In the short time that GoLeft.tv has been producing online video segments, they have covered stories on topics such as the Blackwater mercenary army, the U.S. attorney purge, voter fraud and caging, Rupert Murdoch's media monopoly and global warming.

Michael Lynch, a founding partner with GoLeft.tv, says the network is continuing to expand daily news coverage with the addition of Farron Cousins on the Daily Left segment who will take a closer look at all the "political money trails" that flow from the headline news stories reported by mainstream media every day. "There is a gaping hole in the news mainstream media delivers," says Lynch. "GoLeft.tv will close that gap by reporting stories that are found primarily within the emerging citizens' media. Those sources will include America's most reliable blogs and dozens of alternative news sources that consistently debunk mainstream media."

GoLeft.tv is also announcing additional segments with Matthew Filipowicz and Jim Hightower. Matthew Filipowicz is a comedian and cartoonist who creates daily political cartoons for the website, Headzup. Jim Hightower is a national radio commentator, writer, public speaker, and author of Thieves In High Places: They've Stolen Our Country And It's Time to Take It Back. Also new to the lineup is Bree Walker, a progressive talk show host and actress, and Dmitri Iglitzin, a nationally known labor attorney who will host "Labor Now" on GoLeft.tv. "These additions to our lineup bring the quality of progressive entertainment and commentary on GoLeft.tv to new heights," said Lynch.

According to Lynch, viewers can turn on GoLeft.tv several times a day and notice that the new video on demand content is constantly being updated. Lynch explained that the goal is to make certain that none of the TV channels become stale.
