Kemira GrowHow has two years to start the mining operations in Sokli

Kemira GrowHow Oyj STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 25.6.2007 at 10:15

Ministry of Trade and Industry made today 25 June its decision about
the mining rights in Sokli and issued Kemira GrowHow a two year time
period to start the mining operations in the Sokli area. The decision
by the ministry did not grant Kemira GrowHow the five year extension
for mining rights which the company applied for. If the limited
period of two years is not enough and Kemira GrowHow believes that it
is possible to develop the deposit and pursue the opening of the
mine, the company may again apply for mining rights.

The Sokli mine area is located at Savukoski in Eastern Lapland, where
it is possible to extract niobium and phosphorus.
