DFDS and Norske Skog extend paper logistics contract to the end of 2012

DFDS and Norske Skog have agreed to extend and expand their paper logistics
partnership for sea transportation of paper products from all Norske Skog paper
mills in Norway to the UK, the Continent, Ireland and Spain. The contract will
be undertaken by DFDS' wholly-owned subsidiary, DFDS Lys Line AS.

The agreement, which originally covered the period 2003 - 2009, will now run
for a further three years, until 31 December 2012. The scope of the contract
has also been expanded, with the addition of a new shipping line from Skogn to
and from Ireland and Scotland - thereby increasing the total expected freight
volume to approx. 800,000 tons per year.

The contract will be serviced by eight combined sideport/container vessels
which are tailor-made for the paper industry.

Norske Skog and DFDS Lys Line have enjoyed an extensive and successful
partnership for many years, and this extended contract underlines the strength
and willingness in both companies to expand this relationship by finding
mutually beneficial and cost-effective transportation and logistics solutions.

Through this long-term contract, DFDS has strengthened its position as a major
logistics supplier to the Nordic paper industry.
