City National Bank Hires Well-Known Banker and Longtime Nevadan Bob Glaser as Head of Its New Private Banking Division in Nevada


LAS VEGAS, July 3, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- City National Bank today announced that it has hired Bob Glaser to be senior vice president and manager of its Private Banking Division in Nevada. Glaser, who will be located in Las Vegas, will be responsible for private banking throughout the entire state. He will have a number of private banking specialists reporting to him once they are hired and located in the major markets served by the bank. Glaser joins City National Bank from Wireless Venture Partners, Inc., where he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for approximately two years. He also worked for United Factory Furniture Corporation, the parent company of Walker Furniture in Las Vegas, as senior vice president and chief financial officer for six years. Glaser spent three years with Peat Marwick LLP as a senior consultant in its Financial Institutions Group. His professional career in banking includes six years with PriMerit Bank where he served as senior vice president and manager of business banking, and another six years with Valley Bank of Nevada as vice president and manager of corporate banking. He also spent four years with several community banks in Utah.

Glaser is a graduate of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Administration. He also graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware, and the National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma.

Glaser has been very active in the Las Vegas community, serving as a member of several trade and nonprofit organizations. His trade or professional organizations include: director and executive committee member of the Nevada State Development Corporation; member of the Las Vegas Rotary Club; member of the Interagency Coordinating Committee for the Nevada Development Authority; and director of the Nevada Enterprise Network. He has also been an adjunct instructor for the Community College of Southern Nevada and a volunteer for the Boulder Dam Area Boy Scout Council Sustaining Membership Drive.
