Father of 2 Receives Kidney From Prisoner Due to Sky Detective Tracking Device

BOISE, Idaho, July 3, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Global intelligence and security solution provider Sky Detective, Inc. heard about Gustavo Suarez, Sr., facing life in prison in California, being the only perfect match for a kidney transplant for his ailing son. They donated a GPS/CDMA tracking ankle device so that Suarez, Sr. could be released and electronically monitored while undergoing surgery to donate one of his kidneys. Based on Sky Detective's exclusive mobile zones and inclusion zones set to limit the range Suarez, Sr. could travel, and with monitoring and tactical planning by Sky Detective and local law enforcement, Imperial County Superior Court ordered a temporary release of Suarez, Sr. to have the surgery, and thereby save his son's life.

"That is what it is all about," said Jerry Thompson, retired Deputy Sheriff and CEO of Sky Detective, "Our goal is to provide solutions to challenges facing law enforcement that ultimately save lives. While we appreciate the Suarez family's overwhelming gratitude, it all comes down to, at the end of the day, his son is able to live his life and raise his family."

Sky Detective's GPS/CDMA assisted device attaches to an offender's or paroled offender's ankle with a rubber strap containing a built-in fiber optic wire that immediately notifies the monitor if the strap is tampered with in any way. It is 100% waterproof and can actually be sanitized in a household dishwasher. Sky Detective can track the offender's every movement through the internet and set pre-determined inclusion and exclusion zones that the offender either cannot leave or cannot enter. They can "zone" known gang or narcotics areas that notify the Monitor immediately by email, cell phone text, cell phone voice alert or fax if the offender has entered these locations. This data is stored for the review of the offender's conduct.

Unlike typical GPS monitoring devices, Sky Detective's devices can locate in heavily obstructed environments, like buildings, tunnels, heavy foliage, between skyscrapers, or in large residences, and it is a stand-alone device that requires no other equipment to track offender's nationwide. With 0% false alerts, there are no wasted responses to the offender's location.

This device is a solution to the current overcrowding of custody facilities as well. In the past, offenders have been convicted for crimes they committed while they were on release rather than being in custody for the duration of their sentences. This could have been avoided by utilizing Sky Detective's exclusive device and technology. Offenders released due to severe overcrowding can be monitored and zoned, with their every movement being watched and recorded. Convicted sex offenders can be zoned to stay away from schools and playgrounds. Communities feel safe knowing that these forced early releases are being successfully tracked and monitored through Sky Detective devices.

In addition to the money saved by not having to build more correctional facilities, we can reduce government budgets for maintaining offenders. It costs about $100 per day in most urban areas to house each inmate. Our solution costs a fraction of that. One officer can now only monitor around 20 offenders, and with our system, he/she can monitor up to 900 devices, saving personnel costs. Additionally, the offenders pay for the device and monitoring, saving even more.
