Factum Electronics enters two new markets for digital broadcasting

Factum Electronics, the world-leading supplier of digital multimedia
broadcasting equipment, today announced that it has won contracts to supply the
Czech network operator TELEKO, s.r.o. and the French network operator Towercast
with digital broadcasting systems. The deliveries under the two contracts are
based on the latest version of Factums' DAB/DMB systems and enables Towercast to
handle DMB audio and visual radio broadcasting and TELEKO, s.r.o. to provide
digital radio to its listeners.
“We are very pleased with this development of DAB and DMB in Europe and the fact
that two new countries are added to the list of DAB/DMB countries. Earlier we
have announced deliveries of our equipment to several European countries
including Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Norway, Sweden,
Switzerland and the UK,” says Kenneth Lundgren, Managing Director, Factum
Electronics AB.
“Finally, the transition to digital broadcasting has begun in the Czech Republic
and in France and, as expected, DAB and DMB are joint winners. The DAB based
standards are the most cost effective technologies for digital broadcasting and
Factum supports them all,” says Hans Runesten, Chairman of Factum Electronics AB
and CEO of Effnet Holding AB.
