the world-leading specialist in geothermal drilling. Thor Noevig will become
head of the newly formed enterprise, Hekla Energy GmbH, as from September 1st
2007.

During his 30-year-long professional career, Thor has been managing director
for more than 15 years at ITAG Tiefbohr GmbH where he developed the company
into one of the leading drilling contractors in Europe. Thor and his team
developed new innovative designs for drilling rigs. Under his leadership the
focus was always on the highest standards for HSE and QA.

Thor Noevig will bring the right qualifications and skills to the job according
to the CEO of Iceland Drilling, Bent Einarsson: “We are very fortunate to have
an outstanding personality such as Thor as the new CEO of Hekla Energy. His
academic background in mechanical (NTH-Norway) and petroleum/drilling
engineering (M.Sc. from TU Clausthal); his high esteem in the industry,
extensive experience in strategy and technology, as well as his proven
management skills were decisive for our selection. I am convinced that Thor is
the right candidate to lead Hekla Energy into a prosperous future.”

Hekla Energy GmbH
Hekla Energy GmbH with its headquarters in Celle, Germany will be one of the
leading geothermal experts in Europe for sustainable energy development through
state-of-the-art technology and unique international experience. The company
recently signed a contract with Herrenknecht Vertical GmbH for purchase and
purchase rights of heavy land rigs specially designed to obtain geothermal heat
from great depths. The first of these rigs will be delivered this autumn and
Hekla Energy's plans are to start the first drilling project in southern
Germany before the end of this year.

Exciting Future
Mr. Noevig is looking forward to his new position: “As a specialist in
geothermal energy, Hekla Energy will play a major role in the European drilling
industry in the near future. I have great expectations for my new position and
the vision of the company. Hekla Energy has a great growth potential and the
necessary ambition to be one of the leading drilling contractors for geothermal
energy and related activities. The strong expertise as well as the financial
