Liner is Reaching for New Heights in San Francisco


LOS ANGELES and SAN FRANCISCO, July 17, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Brian T. Hafter, formerly a Partner of Steefel Levitt and Weiss, joined Liner's San Francisco office as Partner on July 16, 2007.

As LYS&R continues its growth spurt, Brian joins the ranks of partner in Liner's San Francisco office. Brian has diverse experience litigating complex disputes including litigation of business, securities, probate and trust, real estate, intellectual property, insurance coverage, bankruptcy, employment and other matters.

Some of Brian's notable cases involved his representation of an aerospace manufacturer seeking damages for breach of contract and fraud in connection with the sale of its business. Arbitration resulted in a multi-million dollar damages award in his client's favor. Brian also defended a national brokerage firm in a seven-week trade secrets trial concerning the alleged misappropriation of a certain wireless technology. He represented the client in complex trial court and appellate proceedings.

Brian brings over 13 years of legal experience and an impressive roster of clients and trial successes. Brian received his JD in 1994, cum laude from the American University, Washington College of Law and his BA from the University of California at Berkeley in 1991.
