KENT, Ohio, July 19, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- In Purgatory Sands, author V. E. Bixenstine conducts an eventful ride through the American West of 1876 following the adventures of Justin Simms. Cruel fate shatters young Justin's dreams. He is forced to run for his life and becomes the outlaw, Purgatory Sands. But fate is not always cruel and in the end, he wears a U.S. Marshal's badge! Readers have uniformly praised Purgatory Sands and have eagerly awaited the sequel. Good news, wait no more!

Marshal Sands and Mrs. Molly (Paperback $ 22.99; Xlibris Publishing), slated for bookstores this week, again features Bixenstine's masterful blending of Old West drama, romance, and action. The sequel opens in Chicago where Molly Dandridge's odyssey begins. Chaffing under smothering protection, Molly defies her father and elopes with a charming rogue -- only to end up abused and abandoned in Green River City, Wyoming. Sick of soul, ashamed to go home, contemplating suicide, she is rescued by Liz Dunlap who secures for her the unusual position of house dealer at Andy's Saloon.

Along comes Pur T. Sands, the new Marshal. Inevitably, Molly and the Marshal meet, are drawn to each other, but rein in their feelings owing each to their complicated pasts. Then the plot thickens. As menacing Kenneth McMann opens the curtains on a range war, his henchman, Frenchy Dubois, murderously obsessed with Molly, abducts her and heads north. Marshal Sands should attend to the looming war, but his heart sends him in pursuit of Molly and Frenchy. Does he rescue Molly? Does he stop the war and have a showdown with Kenneth McMann? Do Molly and the Marshal find a way through their perils to resolve the complications of their pasts? Get the answers in Marshal Sands and Mrs. Molly!
