Mass Connections Hires New Senior Vice President of Sales


CERRITOS, Calif., July 25, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Mass Connections(r), the nation's leader in retail marketing, connecting brands with consumers -- in-store, online and in life -- announced today the addition of Mark Hyland as Senior Vice President of Sales. In this role, Mark will be responsible for overseeing and directing the sales organization to assure best in class service to current and prospective retail and CPG clients alike.

Over the last five years, Hyland has worked alongside MC in various capacities. After proving a valuable partner, MC asked him to come on board to make a more direct and influential impact on its clients. His new leadership role will include supervising the sales team, and the Eastern and Western Sales Directors will report directly to him. He will be based out of the company's Cincinnati office and will report directly to President and CEO Caroline Cotten-Nakken.

Hyland most recently comes from Weyerhaeuser Containerboard, an international forest products company ranking in the Fortune 200 for over 50 years. There, he worked in the Packaging and Recycle (CBPR) Division, starting a new retail customer center and managing the company's business with The Kroger Co., one of the largest retail food companies in the U.S. He led sales for key grocery retailers and CPG customer teams.

Prior to Weyerhaeuser Containerboard, he worked for The Coca-Cola Company, where he managed its Wal-Mart and Kroger business. He successfully grew Coca-Cola market share for both retailers through building relationships, selling key initiatives and developing marketing programs.
