HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Aug. 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- CT Networks, a leading provider of advanced voice, data, video surveillance and audio/visual conferencing solutions, announced today that Ralph Rugen, formerly of Cisco, has been appointed to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Rugen will lead the company to grow the data convergence business, enabled by the diversified group of technology products offered by CT Networks.

Mr. Rugen's extensive technical background in advanced LAN, WAN and Network development leaves him poised to lead the company through all aspects of growth. He is a respected technologist within the Cisco organization, has managed the networks of several major financial institutions, and has demonstrated his professional savvy and educational prowess by holding three CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) certifications in the areas of Routing and Switching, Security, and Voice. Ralph also holds an MS degree in Systems Engineering. These achievements, coupled with Ralph's ability to execute, represent the perfect combination for CT Networks.

"Managing critical data, voice, video systems and networks is not a simple undertaking but one that Ralph is perfect for. He has touched all phases of his projects. In order to continue the growth CT Networks has enjoyed, we must have a CTO with strong business and technical acumen. Ralph fulfills this requirement, having spent the better part of ten years at Cisco," stated Barry Goldstein, Founder and CEO of CT Networks.

Data integration platforms must consistently deliver and maintain optimum performance in the face of increasing customer expectations and governmental laws. Ralph's CTO appointment will ensure CT Networks' ability to manage projects at the enterprise level, as well as its vertical and commercial markets.

"With Ralph joining us we will have a full arsenal of personnel with the ability to recommend information technology best practices, along with continuing to maintain the status as trusted advisors to our clients. We are delighted to have an experienced executive join our firm. Ralph's broad skill set and deep expertise will further enhance our capabilities as we manage an increasing mix of data, voice, video surveillance, audio/visual conferencing and systems monitoring," Goldstein continued.

At Cisco, Ralph has supported major corporations in their efforts to deploy and support extensive VoIP networks with multiple locations around the country. Additionally, Ralph has hands-on experience working with the elements of implementing a system. His knowledge of VPN IPSEC designs, including firewalls, IDS/ISP, VPN concentrators and clients makes CT Networks comfortable in its choice of having Ralph spearheading the technology division.

"With over 20 years in the technology arena, Ralph's extensive industry background and shared values are a perfect complement to our team. We welcome Ralph to CT Networks and look forward to his contributions to the firm," Goldstein concluded.
