Northrop Grumman Showcases Public-Safety Capabilities At APCO International Conference

BALTIMORE, Aug. 6, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will present its public-safety solutions for first responders this week at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials -- International 73rd Annual Conference and Exposition.

The exposition is ongoing Aug. 5-9 at the Baltimore Convention Center with the Northrop Grumman exhibit located at booth 1100.

Northrop Grumman's Information Technology sector will display its CommandPoint Computer Aided Dispatch system that enables communications center personnel to efficiently handle calls and information, allowing them to make informed decisions and meet the demands of law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services.

Northrop Grumman's wireless capabilities allow public safety and other government agencies to specifically tailor their needs with reliable wireless communications. The Next Generation 9-1-1 system is among the wireless capabilities that will be displayed at this year's conference. This system combines advanced interoperability with a network that allows first-responders to not only respond quickly to an emergency, but also arrive prepared with information they need to do their job.

For law enforcement agencies, Northrop Grumman's CommandPoint Automated Field Reporting product allows police officers to create reports regardless of whether they are connected to a wireless network. This product will be displayed, along with the CommandPoint Records Management System, which stores the data inputted from the law enforcement officer.

Northrop Grumman's Law Enforcement Information Exchange solution (LInX) will also be on display. The LInX system links law enforcement personnel with a platform to retrieve data in support of their investigative and tactical operations.
