Gevity Announces Executive Management Appointments


BRADENTON, Fla., Aug. 7, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Gevity (Nasdaq:GVHR), which serves as the full-service human resources department for small and mid-sized businesses, announced today executive appointments to the company's sales, service, finance and marketing organizations.

Jim Hardee joined the company as Senior Vice President of Sales and Service, succeeding Peter Grabowski. Mr. Hardee has extensive experience in selling services to small and mid-size businesses in his career with IBM that spans nearly three decades. At IBM, he established world-class sales management best practices in the North American and European sales markets.

Additionally, Gevity announced that Garry Welsh has been appointed Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, he will also oversee Gevity's insurance and risk management functions. Mr. Welsh has served as Chief Financial Officer on an interim basis since May 1. He has extensive financial management experience, including executive positions at Barclays Private and International Bank and Aviva, formerly Norwich Union.

Further strengthening its field based leadership, the company welcomed Regional Vice Presidents John Orth, Steve Oakley and Doug Leonard, to oversee Gevity's South Central, North Eastern and Western Regions, respectively.

Gevity also announced that Dan Shirra, Vice President of Marketing, will lead the company's marketing function, as Michael Collins, Chief Marketing Officer, has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities.
