Competitive Technologies' CEO Details Leading Technologies in Interview

FAIRFIELD, Conn., Aug. 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Competitive Technologies, Inc. (AMEX:CTT) announced that John B. Nano, CTT's Chairman, President and CEO, in an interview yesterday discussed CTT's recently acquired exclusive worldwide distribution rights to a pain management therapy for treating oncological and neuropathic pain. The non-invasive treatment has already been used with successful results in seven hospitals in Italy on over 200 patients suffering from intense drug-resistant pain. This treatment uses a multi-processor device able to simultaneously treat multiple pain areas by applying surface electrodes to the skin.

The innovative technology is from the research of Professor Giuseppe Marineo of Delta Research & Development in Rome. CTT was able to successfully and quickly complete the agreement with the Italian company with assistance from the Zangani Investment Community(tm).

Also discussed in the interview was the technology for stress reduction, improved concentration and age-related memory improvement. The Korean device called MC Square uses synchronized sound and light rhythms to influence brain activity. Over 1.2 million units of the pocket-sized device have been sold in the Korean market. The MC Square targets market segments from students to the aging population. The patent-pending technology licensed to CTT for U.S. distribution was developed by Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and Korea-based Daeyang E&C, Inc. (KOSDAQ:033030).

Mr. Nano noted that CTT is actively pursuing additional technologies, especially in the life science and alternative energy fields, and that there are additional technology agreements that CTT is pursuing in the Italian market, as well as other countries. The complete interview may be heard at (http://www.zangani.com/webcasts/20070809/ctt).

"We will continue our interest in obtaining technologies that fulfill consumer needs," said Mr. Nano. "We are aggressively marketing our newly acquired pain management technology and stress reduction technology, as well as our other technologies, including our HB LEDs, bone biomaterial, cholesterol trapping and regeneration, and Lupus diagnostic and monitoring, to drive revenue growth, improve profitability and create shareholder value."
