Saku Brewery, starts to produce the international cider brand Strongbow Gold as the first Estonian brewery proceeding international brand. In order to receive the production license, Saku brewery has passed extensive quality and technology tests by Scottish and Newcastle Plc for Strongbow Gold as well as made additional investments in technology over 5 million EEK / EUR 320 000/. The company estimates to gain over half of the quality cider market in Estonian by selling approximately 200 000 litres within the 5 coming months. The essential investment of Saku brewery in 2007 has been the production development together with laboratory equipment and trained experts with the aim to create new product lines for Estonian, Latvian as well as Lithuanian markets. Saku product development centre has created Sin cocktail drinks, Dlight beer drinks and Vichy ice tea as well as Viva Fresh near waters which are constantly gaining popularity in all 3 Baltic states.
