(Lysaker, 20 August 2007) Nord Pool ASA improved operating income and profits for the first six months of 2007. The period was characterised by high activity in several areas at Nord Pool.

Operating profit of NOK 47 million compared with 39.5 million in 2006

Increase of financial market share to 40.1 per cent of total market

Launch of CER contracts (global carbon contracts)

Launch of peak contracts

Launch of clearing services for the fish derivatives market

New financial insurance agreement
