Final 12 Companies Selected for 2007 ION Venture Forum Presentations

Council Receives Record Number of Submissions From Georgia Technology Companies

ATLANTA, Aug. 30, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Atlanta CEO Council today announced the 12 technology companies chosen to present at the 2007 ION Venture Forum, the South's premier event for venture capitalists and emerging technology companies. Selected from a record number of applicants, these companies will have the opportunity to present to, and meet with, more than 120 of the nation's premier venture capitalists and private equity investors.

"This year's selection process was difficult due to the large number of highly qualified applicants," said Brendan McGuire, senior relationship banker with RBC Centura Bank and co-chair of the ION Venture Forum. "I wish we had room for them all. The twelve we've chosen come from a range of different industries and are exemplary of the best in innovation throughout Georgia. We are very excited about this year's event and are confident the presenting companies will add value to the content of this conference."

The companies selected to present this year are: Aelera Group, Agentek, Deposit Solutions, Evoca, Invistics, IVOX, Neurotic Media, OneLinq, Preparis, Qualtre, Steelbox Networks and Walking Stick Solutions.

This year's submissions came from a wide range of industry and application categories, including on-demand solutions, wireless applications, electronic media distribution, physical security, financial transaction processing, semiconductors, healthcare technology, enterprise marketing applications, social networking, information security, enterprise management and others.

The number of companies vying for the opportunity to present to venture capitalists at the ION Venture Forum has grown significantly in the past six years. Past presenting companies have raised more than $265 million in venture funding after their participation in the ION Venture Forum.

"The ION Venture Forum is an event that we never miss. We are always impressed with the quality of the event and the line-up of presenting companies," said Sunil Dhaliwal, general partner with Battery Ventures. "In fact, we were fortunate enough to invest in one of ION's past companies, which yielded a strong return for our fund and our limited partners. We are looking forward meeting this year's group."

The ION Venture Forum will take place Sept. 25-26 at the Buckhead Ritz Carlton in Atlanta. Company presentations will take place on Sept. 26.
