A Special Tribute to a Special Princess -- Author A.V. Scrivner Gives Honor to Diana: The Enchanted Princess Through Poetry and Prose

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- She was a woman known as the "People's Princess." She touched many lives, and was greatly loved in return. She was a beautiful person in her own way, and was very well admired by the public. Her numerous works of charity and public service inspired many others. Now comes an unusual tribute to the Princess -- a book with poetry and prose. As a loving compliment to a woman who meant so much to many, author A.V. Scrivner offers Diana: The Enchanted Princess.

Scrivner felt that the only way to do Princess Diana's story justice was with poetry. The poem details the love Diana felt for her sons, Princes William and Harry, the pain they must have felt when she died, and the important lessons she shared with them. It also follows an angel's generous gift to give the boys a sense of peace, gently offering them one more chance to be with her. Diana's family and life are chronicled in several prose chapters, from her own childhood riddled with complications of divorce, to her difficult marriage to Prince Charles, and to the events beyond her death.

The author's affection for her subject is evident and enhanced with the original drawings by artist Luz Maria Machuca, whose tender sketches bring to life Diana's spirit and love for her sons.

With the combination of fantasy, poetic narrative, moving prose, and original illustrations, Diana: The Enchanted Princess will surely captivate the hearts of many. With profound, honest, and raw emotions revealed in the mother-and-sons interaction in the narrative poem, Diana's countless admirers will truly be touched. Be inspired, be stirred, and be moved in Scrivner's special gift for Diana: The Enchanted Princess.

About the Author

As far back as her memory serves her, A.V. Scrivner loved to listen to music and watch sunsets in her native Arizona. Then came the passion for languages and history. The author is completely bilingual and has published two books of juvenile fiction in Spanish. She can no longer enjoy sunsets, having lost her eyesight in 1991, but her other loves remain strong. After she stopped teaching high school English, she published two books on English grammar and usage. Her history book, Valiant Southwest, was the only book written before she became blind. All other works, published and unpublished, have been written without the benefit of eyesight.
